Seattle, Washington - (August 5, 2009) – Russell Benaroya is being honored by the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 under 40,” an awards program that spotlights the top young business leaders regionally. Benaroya was chosen as one of 40 honorees for his demonstration of social responsibility and professional success. He will be recognized at an awards ceremony on September 15th at the Seattle Repertory Theatre.
Benaroya has been an active healthcare entrepreneur for a number of years as the co-founder of a leading sleep medicine company as well as a board member and start-up investor in other growing healthcare specialties. Recently, Benaroya joined the board of Blink Skincare, a cosmetics services company providing laser tattoo removal. His primary focus currently is on building medical service companies around broad demographics such as the aging population and the growing obesity epidemic. Benaroya is also a board member and actively supports Treeswing (www.treeswing.org), a non-profit that is implementing programs focused on attacking childhood obesity.
