How long have you had your tattoo(s)?
I’ve had my tattoo for over 10 years. I got it while I was in college. My fraternity had a huge party, and we all had had too many beers to count, and one of my fraternity brothers had a friend who did tattoos. We invited him over and we all got tattoos that night. At the time, it seemed like a great bonding activity but I was definitely shocked when I sobered up the following day.
Why are you seeking treatment at this time?
I just want to get rid of my tattoo! You can see the spider web over the collar of tee-shirts and I don’t like the types of judgments or remarks I hear when people see it. I have made efforts to cover it up, by wearing collared shirts or turtlenecks but that isn’t an option year round. As an added bonus, it’ll get my mother off my back!
Where is your tattoo located?
It is a large piece that is at the top of my chest. Most of it is centered between my pectorals but it does have some points on each pectoral and slightly extends upwards towards my adams apple. That’s the area I’m most upset by. It’s really hard to hide.
What is your tattoo of?
It’s a spider web and has a comic-book feel to it. More like Spiderman than a traditional spider web. It’s really well done, I just wish I had been smart enough to get it on my bicep or back instead of my chest, so that I could keep it covered in job settings.
What color inks were used in your tattoo?
It was done completely in black because that’s all the tattoo artist had left by the time it was my turn. I guess I’m lucky because Blink Tattoo Removal told me that black is the easiest color for laser tattoo removal.
