Sometimes at Blink Tattoo Removal we receive patients whose motivation for getting our state of the art Laser Tattoo Removal treatment isn’t motivated by their own dislike for their tattoos but rather, a change in life circumstances that demands a change in appearance. This is the case for this young woman whose move into a corporate work environment has brought her face to face with the disapproving expectations of senior employees. Her career path requires her to have an impeccable professional appearance on the job, and though she actually loved her tattoos, she needed to make this tough decision to move her career forward.
How long have you had your tattoo(s)?
The first tattoo I got was seven years ago when I was still in high school, and the most recent was four years ago.
Why are you seeking treatment at this time?
Well, to be honest, it’s with a bit of regret that I’m getting my tattoos removed! The bottom line is that there is still quite a bit of stigma about tattoos in the corporate work environment. I guess my tattoos just don’t gel with that professional image that is expected. So it’s time to make an executive decision!
What is your goal at Blink Tattoo Removal?
I’ve got three tattoos that I’m considering getting removed, so first I will get a consultation on what the procedure and cost might be for all of them, and then I’ll start with the easiest removal, see the results and make a decision on the rest from there.
Do you have any upcoming engagements prompting you to want your tattoo(s) removed?
Nothing in particular, it’s just about the ongoing situation of needing to have a highly professional appearance in the corporate work environment.
Where is your tattoo located?
My first tattoo is on my right shoulder. That is probably the one I’ll get removed first because it is the most visible. My second tattoo is on my right thigh. I’ve been avoiding wearing a business skirt at work because of it! The last tattoo is on my lower back, which sometimes reveals itself when my shirt rises up at the back a bit.
What is your tattoo of?
The one on my shoulder is a person’s name. The tattoo on my thigh is a large and colorful butterfly, and the tattoo on my lower back is of a woman’s eyes.
What color inks were used in your tattoo?
The name tattoo is just black ink. The butterfly tattoo is the most complex and it uses yellow, green, black, and red ink! The eyes tattoo just uses black as well.
How much was the total removal treatment estimate?
The name was $1800, the butterfly was $4200, and the eyes were $3060
How much was the per treatment cost estimate?
$180 for the name tattoo, $280 for the butterfly, which I expected would cost a bit more, and $255 for the eyes.
